CAEC

CAEC & Trade Readiness Prep

Thanks to the new Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC), adult learners across Alberta who do not hold a high school equivalency diploma will now have access to a customized, made-in-Alberta education credential. This credential will unlock new career and educational pathways, providing a transformative opportunity for personal and professional growth.

Replacing the GED with the CAEC

The GED® is no longer available in Canada effective May 3, 2024.. CAEC will enhance Alberta’s education system and workforce by ensuring that the content aligns with the requirements of adults, as well as the diverse cultures and perspectives in Canada. This includes incorporating material that is pertinent for Indigenous, francophone, and multicultural communities. These modifications will instil confidence in test-takers, employers, post-secondary institutions, and others that the CAEC accurately assesses a Canadian adult’s educational proficiency level.

Our Preparation Program Is For You If:

  • You did not complete high school and are over 18.
  • You are under 19 but will not have enough high school credits to graduate by age 20.
  • You need help preparing to write your CAEC or trade readiness exams

To initiate the process, please reach out to us to schedule a meeting. During the first appointment, we will introduce you to our program and have you complete maths and English assessments to evaluate your proficiency level. Subsequently, you will collaborate with our CAEC Coordinator to identify your subsequent actions.
